注意一 because 除用于引導(dǎo)原因狀語(yǔ)從句外，還可引出表語(yǔ)從句。如：
It is because he is too foolish. 那是因?yàn)樗懒恕?/p>
It is because youre eating too much. 那是因?yàn)槟愠缘锰嗔恕?/p>
注意二 漢語(yǔ)可以說因?yàn)樗�，但是英語(yǔ)卻不能使用 becauseso這樣的結(jié)構(gòu)。改正的辦法是，要么去掉其中的because，使之成為并列句;要么去掉so，使之成為主從復(fù)合句。如：
因?yàn)樗苊�，所以不能來�?/p>
誤：Because he is very busy, so he cant come.
正：Because he is very busy, he cant come.
正：He is very busy, so he cant come.
注意三 漢語(yǔ)說之所以是因?yàn)�，說成英語(yǔ)通常是The reason (why)is that其中的that最好不用because代替。如：
The reason (why) Im late is that [because] I missed the bus. 我遲到的原因是因?yàn)槲覜]有趕上公共汽車。
注意四 在 not...because... 這一結(jié)構(gòu)中，not 有時(shí)否定主句，有時(shí)否定從句，具體視語(yǔ)境而定。一般說來，若 not 否定主句，最好在because 之前用逗號(hào)，否則會(huì)引起歧義，如下句在沒有特定上下文時(shí)就有兩種解釋：
I didnt go because I was afraid.
a. 我沒有去是因?yàn)榕隆?/p>
b. 我不是因?yàn)榕虏湃ァ?/p>

為了簡(jiǎn)潔起見，有的狀語(yǔ)從句(如時(shí)間狀語(yǔ)從句、條件狀語(yǔ)從句、方式狀語(yǔ)從句等)有時(shí)可省略從句的主語(yǔ)和部分謂語(yǔ)(尤其是當(dāng)從句主語(yǔ)與主句主語(yǔ)一致，且從句謂語(yǔ)包括有動(dòng)詞be時(shí))：
She fell asleep while (he was) doing his homework.
他在做作業(yè)時(shí)睡著了。
While (he was) doing so, he trembled a little.
他這樣做時(shí)稍稍顫抖了一下。
He opened his mouth as if (he was) to speak.
他張開口，好像要說話似的。
Often she would weep when (she was) alone.
她一個(gè)人時(shí)，常�？奁�。
I’d like to see you whenever (it’s) convenient.
