中學(xué)英語教學(xué)大綱中明確指出：“寫是書面表達(dá)和傳遞信息的交際能力。培養(yǎng)初步寫的能力，是英語教學(xué)的目的之一�！痹诮甑母呖贾杏⒄Z寫作也占有相當(dāng)比重。因此，在高中階段教師應(yīng)在指導(dǎo)和組織學(xué)生進(jìn)行英語寫作上下功夫，在平時(shí)教學(xué)中應(yīng)有計(jì)劃有目的地去訓(xùn)練和提高學(xué)生的寫作能力。
一、學(xué)生能充分認(rèn)識英語寫作的重要性是寫作能力提高的必要條件。
英語寫作能力的提高需要持之以恒的長期訓(xùn)練。如果學(xué)生對寫作重要性認(rèn)識不夠，他們就不能積極主動地去配合老師搞好寫作訓(xùn)練，甚至產(chǎn)生逆反心理，產(chǎn)生對立情緒，英語寫作就會半途而廢，達(dá)不到預(yù)期目的。
在平時(shí)教學(xué)中，老師要經(jīng)常性地有意識地對學(xué)生進(jìn)行寫作重要性的教育。學(xué)生一進(jìn)入高中就要讓他們了解初中和高中英語教學(xué)要求的異同。

二、指導(dǎo)寫作應(yīng)注意的幾個(gè)問題：
1．教師要有明確合理的教學(xué)計(jì)劃和教學(xué)程序，組織系統(tǒng)規(guī)范的有序訓(xùn)練。
2．幫助和要求學(xué)生養(yǎng)成積極主動地堅(jiān)持英語寫作的良好習(xí)慣。
3．堅(jiān)持循序漸進(jìn)的訓(xùn)練原則。寫作要先易后難，先短后長，先學(xué)會運(yùn)用簡單句、并列句，后學(xué)會用復(fù)合句表達(dá)，先寫正確句子逐步過渡到圍繞一個(gè)人、一件事、一個(gè)觀點(diǎn)去寫有中心的文章，由不限定時(shí)間到限定時(shí)間，由限定時(shí)間長到限定時(shí)間短，由限定字?jǐn)?shù)少到多……
4．分程度要求。對學(xué)生的要求不能一刀切，對學(xué)習(xí)好的要求要高，對學(xué)習(xí)差的要求要適當(dāng)?shù)鸵恍�。要避免有些學(xué)生輕而易舉垂手可得，而有些學(xué)生又可望而不可及的情況發(fā)生。
5．注意講評。要經(jīng)常指出優(yōu)點(diǎn)，以利模仿，指出缺點(diǎn)，警示避免。

三、訓(xùn)練寫作的常用方法。
寫作訓(xùn)練應(yīng)考慮循序漸進(jìn)的原則，采取逐步提高的形式進(jìn)行。

四、注意糾正學(xué)生英語作寫中容易出現(xiàn)的錯誤。
學(xué)生最初寫作時(shí)，教師要給予必要的指導(dǎo)，使他們少犯錯誤。教師還要經(jīng)常性地例舉錯誤的表達(dá)法，提醒學(xué)生注意避免。在批閱作文時(shí)教師要隨時(shí)標(biāo)出學(xué)生錯誤之處，還要隨時(shí)記錄學(xué)生所犯錯誤，把學(xué)生的錯誤加以歸類總結(jié)，把普遍性的錯誤提出來，讓學(xué)生集體改錯，使他們的語言表達(dá)盡可能地規(guī)范正確。
