　　Although Chinese people have gradually becomewealthy more or less due to the reform and opening-up policy，they have oftentimes been troubled bya lack of friends that they can take into theirconfidence. Thisobservation manifests itself mostvividly in a line cited from the movie.If You Are theOne，that is，“Ido not lack money butfriends”.Ironically，in the cell phone contact list of an average person，the number of cellphone numbers may reach a couple of hundreds.One can not help wondering if modern peoplebecome lonelier than before.Personally，I hold the opinion that modern people do becomelonelier than before.

　　由于改革開放政策的實施，中國人民變得比以往更加富有，但是，有時他們也會因為缺少朋友而困擾，朋友能夠為他們帶來自信。我們能從電影臺詞中清晰可見。電影非誠勿擾中有一句臺詞：“我不缺錢，只缺朋友�！本哂兄S刺意味的是，在人們的電話薄中，我們存儲了上百個電話號碼。人們不禁會想現(xiàn)代人是否比以往更加孤單。我認(rèn)為，現(xiàn)代人比以往更加孤單。

　　Firstly，due to the urbanizing process at an unprecedented speed，the society becomes moremobile，for more and more people migrate from one city to another to seekfortune.Nowadays people in cities are consisted of migrate workers from rural areas，collegegraduates in pursuit of their dreams， businessmen across the country and the local. Giventhe fact that people from different regions have different subcultures，people tend to rejectpeople with different backgrounds.Besides，as people are more interested in making money，they are more likely to conflict in interest.No wonder that circle of confidants has shrunkdramatically and the number of people with whom to discuss important matters has spirallyincreased.

　　首先，由于城市化進(jìn)程的飛速發(fā)展，社會就像是一種移動的團(tuán)體，為了掙錢，越來越多的人從一座城市遷移到另一座城市。如今，城市有許多從農(nóng)村來的農(nóng)民工，以及那些追尋夢想的大學(xué)畢業(yè)生，來自當(dāng)?shù)睾推渌麌�家的商人。由于人們來自不同的地區(qū)，有著不一樣的次文化，人們往往會由于背景的不同而相互排斥。此外，人們對掙錢的欲望越來越大，他們更有可能因為利益而發(fā)生爭執(zhí)。難怪人們的朋友正在急劇減少，與他人談?wù)撝卮笫乱说娜藚s越來越多。

　　Secondly，while people are able to benefit from the advancement of new technologies， theyare likely to depend more upon technologies instead of friends. Communication technologiessuch as the Internet and phones let people stay in contact with other people who are fromremote areas， and spend time on the phone and the Internet communications instead ofdealing with people face to face. Network games have gained their popularity to such anextent that many spend most of their spare time in playing network games and hencetheybecome apathetic to have a good time with friends face to face. That face time seems morelikely to develop friendships.

　　第二，如今，人們能夠通過先進(jìn)的技術(shù)來獲得利益，比起朋友來說，他們更加依靠技術(shù)。例如互聯(lián)網(wǎng)和手機(jī)這樣的通訊技術(shù)能夠讓人們與遠(yuǎn)在千里之外的人交流，人們不再進(jìn)行面對面的交流，人們利用互聯(lián)網(wǎng)和手機(jī)交流的時間增多了。網(wǎng)絡(luò)游戲在一定程度上得到了迅猛的發(fā)展，人們的大量時間都花在了玩網(wǎng)絡(luò)游戲上，人與人之間的交流變得非常冷淡。面對面的交流可以促進(jìn)友誼。

　　As a result，the reduced face time would translate into a loose network between friends.Insum，urbanization has reduced the intimacy between human beings and makes them less likelyto make friends than in the past and the advancement of modern technology also makes peoplemore apathetic by reducing face-to-face contact with friends.I hope people can regain theintimacy between friends as before.

　　所以，面對面交流的減少將會導(dǎo)致朋友之間的疏遠(yuǎn)�？偨Y(jié)，城市化減少了人與人之間的親密感，比起以往，人們交朋友的可能性正在降低，由于技術(shù)的不斷發(fā)展，人們對于面對面交流更加冷漠。我希望人們之間的關(guān)系能夠像從前那樣親密。

　　China’s economy is not immune to the influence ofthe global economic crisis. As China’s economy isheavily dependent on global trade and investmentflows, the global economic slowdown has alreadyhad a negative impact on China’s export sector andindustries. There are some observations that oureconomy is alreadyslowing down. In response, manyscholars call on Chinese people to spend more money to create domestic demands in variousmagazines and newspapers. They even equal consumption with being patriotic. In my pointofview, we should hold the strings of purse tight, instead of spending more.

　　中國經(jīng)濟(jì)受到了全球經(jīng)濟(jì)危機(jī)的影響。由于中國非常依賴全球貿(mào)易和投資，全球經(jīng)濟(jì)的下滑已經(jīng)對中國的出口市場和產(chǎn)業(yè)造成了嚴(yán)重的影響。人們觀察到中國經(jīng)濟(jì)已經(jīng)有所下滑。所以，在各種雜志和報紙上，我們看見學(xué)者呼吁中國人用消費(fèi)來創(chuàng)造國內(nèi)需求。他們甚至把消費(fèi)和愛國劃等號。我認(rèn)為，我們應(yīng)該勒緊褲腰帶，而不是大把花錢。

　　Firstly, as even some economic big shots acknowledge that they can not see the bottom ofthe global economic crisis, we should get prepared by holding the strings of our purse tight incase that the crisis lasts longer than anticipated. In terms of traditions, Chinese people haveformed the habit of saving money for long-term consideration. While many foreigners accuseChinese of being conservative, it is time-honored wisdom to save money for emergencies inthe future.

　　首先，甚至有許多經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)家都承認(rèn)他們還沒有看到全球經(jīng)濟(jì)危機(jī)的谷底。我們應(yīng)該勒緊褲腰帶，以防經(jīng)濟(jì)危機(jī)持續(xù)蔓延。從傳統(tǒng)上來說，中國人已經(jīng)習(xí)慣了存錢。然而，許多外國人都認(rèn)為中國人保守，省錢救急是傳統(tǒng)智慧的一種表現(xiàn)。

　　As a matter of fact, many foreign countries are characterized by their advanced welfaresystems, so that they can still make their needs meet in times of crisis. In China, while we admitthat the government has made progress in the establishment of social security systems,there are still many members of our society that are not included in social security systems.Therefore, it is impractical to call on those excluded members of the social security systemsto spend more money.

　　事實上，國外許多國家都有著先進(jìn)的福利系統(tǒng)，所以，遇到危機(jī)時，國家依然能夠滿足民眾的需求。在中國，國家在制定社會保障制度方面取得了巨大的成功，但是，許多民眾還沒有列入到社會保障制度之中。所以，讓這些民眾花錢是不現(xiàn)實的。

　　Secondly, though Chinese people earn more money than before in the aggregate, themajority of us still do not amass enough wealth to live a guaranteed life. According to thelatest release of national incomes, urban citizens earn a per capita income of 15, 781 yuanwhile people in the rural areas earn only 4, 761 yuan. However, we must bear in mind thatwealth amassed by relatively limited number of millionaires and billionaires contribute a largeshare of the per capita income growth. Many people in the rural areas and those laid-off andunemployed workers can not even earn an average income. I think everyone wants to live aluxurious life, but without enough money how can they make it?

　　第二，盡管中國人比從前掙得多了，但是，絕大部分人還沒有真正富有起來。根據(jù)最新的國家收入，城市居民的人均收入是1萬5781元，而農(nóng)村居民的收入只有4761元。但是，我們需要記住的是那些為數(shù)不多的百萬富翁和千萬富翁貢獻(xiàn)了人均收入增長的絕大部分。許多農(nóng)村居民以及失業(yè)工人都達(dá)不到平均收入水平。我認(rèn)為每個人都想過上富裕的生活，但是這些都是需要金錢來實現(xiàn)的。

　　To sum up, in a time of economic slowdown, we should hold the strings of our purse tight sothat we can tide ourselves over in case of emergencies.And it is impractical to call on spendingmore when China is still a developing country. As an alternative, I think we can boycottexports of foreign goods so that we can still create domestic demands.

　　總結(jié)，在經(jīng)濟(jì)減緩期間，我們應(yīng)該勒緊褲腰帶，這樣我們才能以防危機(jī)的發(fā)生。中國還是發(fā)展中國家，呼吁民眾大把花錢是不切合實際的。我認(rèn)為我們能夠抵制外貨，這樣我們才能創(chuàng)造國內(nèi)需求。
