Should collage students get merried?
there is a newly dissension putting forward these days: is it legally allowed for chinese on-campus students to get married before they complete their courses? some people prefer "yes" while some others prefer "no". certainly a large number of people just cannot decide which side they should be stand.
in fact, the governments allow on-campus students to get married before they complete their course. there isn t a regulation proclaimed in writing to forbid marriage of on-campus students. but it must affect those triers.in my opinion, it is unnecessary to forbid on-campus students to get married before they finished their college, however, it shouldn t be advocated or encouraged. because, for on-campus students, their play the role as learners. their main task is to learn. if they married, their school work must be affected and they may not graduate favorably or may not be capable for future works. so, i believe: almost all on-campus students would deal with the question reasoningly .
what's your plan for dragon boat festival?
As a chinese, I was really ashamed of having a little knowledge of dragon boat festival. Perhaps I was born in northern city, though my city is nearby sea, it has been built a U port which I can only see cargo ships and can’t see the sweeping ocean. So I have never see the dragon boat contest since I was born. So the dragon boat festival is just a holiday for eating “Zong Zi”. My mother made Zong Zi when I was a child. Because there was no supermarket, we couldn’t buy finished product from market. However, now, we can buy anything in supermarket, so my mother didn’t make them anymore. The boat festival began to fade out my mind.
In reality, young people began to have a bug to celebrate foreign festivals, such as Christams, Saint Valentine’s day, April Fool’s Day, some people also celebrate Easter in church. Talk about Dragon boat festival, it’s the same as some foreign conventional festivals, such as Witch’s Day in Czech. People burned the witch’s puppet so as to welcome spring. Some people are willing to celebrate foreign festivals because they like alien culture. And vice versa, foreigners who like China also concern about Chinese traditional culture.
After new holiday regulation, we have three holidays during the dragon boat festival. So many people will choose this time to travel. People who lived in Xiamen are able to visit Xiapu or Wu Yi mountain, these tourist attractions are in Fujian province, which is suit a short tirp. but I’d like to stay at home for my decorate painting. I decide to draw two canvases about Christmas, it’s really a big project. Then I’ll hang them on the new house wall. I must start it now, or I can’t finish them before Christmas eve. But I preceive it’s a little difficult to draw them in such a hot season.
Dragon Boat Festival, often known as Tuen Ng Festival or Duan Wu Festival, is a traditional Chinese festival held on the fifth day of the fifth month of the Chinese calendar. It is also known as the Double Fifth.[citation needed] It has since been celebrated, in various ways, in other parts of East Asia as well, most notably Korea.
The exact origins of Duan Wu are unclear, but one traditional view holds that the festival memorializes the Chinese poet Qu Yuan of the Warring States Period. He committed suicide by drowning himself in a river because he was disgusted by the corruption of the Chu government. The local people, knowing him to be a good man, decided to throw food into the river to feed the fishes to prevent them from eating Qu's body. They also sat on dragon boats, and tried to scare the fishes away by the thundering sound of drums aboard the boat and the fierce looking dragon-head in the front of the boat.
In the early years of the Chinese Republic, Duan Wu was also celebrated as "Poets' Day", due to Qu Yuan's status as China's first poet of personal renown.
Today, people eat zongzi (the food originally intended to feed the fishes) and race dragon boats in memory of Qu's dramatic death.

Duanwu Festival (端午節(jié), Duānwū Jié) is a traditional Chinese festival held on the fifth day of the fifth month of the Chinese calendar. It is also known as the Double Fifth.[citation(引用;引證) needed] It has since been celebrated, in various ways, in other parts of East Asia as well. In the West, it's commonly known as Dragon Boat Festival.
The exact origins of Duan Wu are unclear, but one traditional view holds that the festival memorializes the Chinese poet Qu Yuan (c. 340 BC-278 BC) of the Warring States Period. He committed suicide by drowning himself in a river because he was disgusted by the corruption of the Chu government. The local people, knowing him to be a good man, decided to throw food into the river to feed the fish so they would not eat Qu's body. They also sat on long, narrow paddle boats called dragon boats, and tried to scare the fish away by the thundering sound of drums aboard the boat and the fierce looking carved dragon head on the boat's prow(船頭).
In the early years of the Chinese Republic, Duan Wu was also celebrated as "Poets' Day," due to Qu Yuan's status as China's first poet of personal renown(名聲名望).
Today, people eat bamboo-wrapped steamed glutinous(粘的) rice dumplings called zongzi (the food originally intended to feed the fish) and race dragon boats in memory of Qu's dramatic death.

In my family, there are only three people, my parents and I. because of my parents’ work, they could only have one child at that time, so I don’t have any siblings. I felt so lonely when my parents went out for their work. Now the government changed their policy, people can have the second child. But some people refuse because they think they can’t afford it. Despite the expense, there are many advantages to have the second child. For one thing, the only child can have someone company, so they won’t feel lonely on the process of growing up. For another thing, two kids will help each other, they can share things together. Learning to share things is a very important lesson for children. In Chinese tradition, more kids, more better, but I think two are perfect for the family.

The time of the Spring Festival, people will sweep the dust, and staying-up late on new year's Eve couplets painting New Year paintings pay New Year's call fireworks, watching the Spring Festival Gala, worship, God, was on, God of wealth and so on, but I most love the Spring Festival when firecrackers. Remember last year's Spring Festival, dad bought a lot of firecrackers, some is a one root, some are top of the tip of the head, and the other is to throw to sound... But the best thing to look at is the big box like firecrackers. This kind of firecracker, as long as it is ignited, will shoot colorful "flowers" in the sky and expand the "petals" in the sky. I lit a "meteor shower" firecrackers, just listen to the sound of a brush, a "meteor shower" like a rocket like into the sky, Shashi good-looking, I stayed to see. All kinds of fireworks were smiling at us like a smiling face, and I was smiling at the fireworks.
Why did they put firecrackers in the new year? Dad solved the mystery for me. My father said to me: "set off firecrackers to drive the beast. Because in ancient times, people will eat flesh. People often leave the hometown, but so long as a firecracker, see the dazzling light, bright red, will be away, so one to the Spring Festival every family to set off firecrackers." "Oh, that's the way it is." I said.
Looking at the fireworks, I made my own wish.
in the survey, which sampled 150 students from different grades and departments, 96 chose successful entrepreneurs as their idols, 91 added scientists and scholars to the list, while only some 75 opted for stars of stage and screen.
the results toppled the old perception that young college students are most impressed by the stars of shows.
fudans students seemed not to be influenced too much by popular tv shows and new stars, despite the latest supergirl, shang wenjie having graduated from the university last year."its normal for students to have traditional ideas about the qualities an idol should have. they think of idols as people who have made a great contribution to society. these kinds of ideas arent easily changed by tv shows," said zhen zhiwei, a second-year post-graduate student who conducted the survey.but students do have new standards for selecting idols. some students voted for ordinary people and even fictional characters, such as harry potter.
"it reveals the diversity of students standards," zhen said. "under the influence of pop culture, some students now view fictional figures as their idols. they see the same qualities in those fictional figures as in other real people."we are also delighted to see that more and more students are concerned with the roles ordinary people play in society. wealth, social status and fame are not the only standards they use to select idols."the survey also revealed that 57% college students do not want to be idols for others.
"the result can be regarded as a good illustration for why most of them choose successful entrepreneurs and scholars as their idols," said zhen. "they have high epectations for idols, so they believe that to be an idol means having to take on more responsibilities and pressure than other people, and they are not ready to take so much responsibility yet."
shang wenjie, the lastest supergirl.
