Leif: Ant Shirley, it's being years since we last met. How were you doing in the passing years?
Shirley: Pretty well. What about you?
Leif: Fine. Where are the other guys?
Shirley: It's a bit disappointing that they are all out for a movie.
Leif: Bad timing. I want to see them so much. How are they?
Shirley: Not bad. I heard you are going to graduate this coming summer, right?
Leif: Yes, that's why I'm here. I'm thinking about buying a second-hand apartment.
Shirley: Did you go to a real estate agent?
Leif: No, that will be too expensive.
Shirley: That's true. By the way, what kind of apartment are you looking for?
Leif: My first job's salary will be a bit low. So the cheaper the better. Just one I can afford.
Shirley: Sure. I'll try my best to find a satisfying one for you.
Leif: I'll appreciate it so much.

1.現(xiàn)在分詞作定語(yǔ)
(1)現(xiàn)在分詞作定語(yǔ)時(shí)表示該動(dòng)作正在進(jìn)行，單個(gè)現(xiàn)在分詞作定語(yǔ)通常放在被修飾詞的前面
The rising sun looks very beautiful. 冉冉升起的太陽(yáng)看著很美。
This is an exciting news. 這是個(gè)激動(dòng)人心的消息。
(2)若被修飾詞與現(xiàn)在分詞是被動(dòng)關(guān)系時(shí)，須用現(xiàn)在分詞的被動(dòng)式(being done)作定語(yǔ)
The song being broadcast is very popular with the young.
正在播放的歌曲深受年輕人的歡迎。
2.現(xiàn)在分詞作表語(yǔ)
(1)現(xiàn)在分詞做表語(yǔ)是一些表示情緒、心理的詞，如excite, interest等，他們的.現(xiàn)在分詞形式可以表示“令人激動(dòng)的”，“令人感興趣的”等。若表示人對(duì)……感興趣，就是somebody is interested in…,若人或物本身有趣時(shí)，就是說(shuō)sb./sth. is interesting

exciting 令人激動(dòng)的
delighting 令人高興的
disappointing 令人失望的
encouraging 令人鼓舞的
pleasing 令人愉快的
satisfying 令人滿(mǎn)意的

(3)現(xiàn)在分詞作表語(yǔ)表示主語(yǔ)的性質(zhì)、特征。
這時(shí)通�？梢钥醋餍稳菰~，可以用very, so或much等修飾
The news that your team had been beaten in the match was very surprising.
你們隊(duì)在比賽中被打敗的消息讓人感到很意外。
The sound I heard last night was so frightening.
